The Top qualifyer on an angle, as was the driver later in the evening. Timmy, well known as the handyman at Mejeriet during the Worlds 2004, made his first appearence as a driver. He showed guts. Bosse is the real handyman though. Ilmars, staying as a visiting student with us, did a good race. For those up early we showed the F1 qualifying and race in the mornings. This time from Malaysia. A portion of these are reserved for international racers. Final registration date is March 15. Rules is a single body event and for 2007 and 2008 this is Red Fox Audi LMP, however, for the Swedish Masters the former ISRA body, BPA Cadillac Lmp (052) is allowed as well. Using this particular body allows the front skids of the chassis to be visible as long as they do not exceed the maximum width of the car (83mm) or are visible in front of the body. Travel directions Then turn left, cross the bridge and turn right. A sign says Hjärup. Follow the road to its end and take a left. You are now on Lommavägen. Follow it into Hjärup and pass the big farm on your right. Then 4 houses appear to your right. The last one is No. 13, a yellow brick house. Göteborg and turn off at Lomma north of Malmö. Turn right and then follow the instructions from north above. Follow signs Göteborg (right in the first roundabout, and straight through the second). Then turn left next (about 250 m) for Hjärup. When in Hjärup turn right for Lomma. You are on Lommavägen. The raceplace is in No 13 just after the green houses on your left. By train: Go to Lund or Malmö and catch a local train (purple called Pågatåg) for Hjärup. Give us a ring and we pick you up. Enrolled racers for 2008 Free, except for that the length of the chassis can not exceed 125 mm measured from the center of the pivot hole to the centre of the rear axle. This is a single body event. We use Bentley EXP (#044) from BPA in Czech Republic The body must completely cover the chassis including the guide and the rear wheels. It may be mounted with pins or Sellotape. The body must be painted and completely opaque seen from above tested on the tech board. The windows must be clear through which you must see a fully detailed and and painted three dimensional driver / interior positioned in its' correct position in the body. All four wheels must be fully visible from the side. The body must not deviate from its original shape intended by the producer. The cutting of the body must maintain all details such as wheel positions and lights. Motor Unmodified C-can. Inside measures must be larger then: single magnets. Ball bearings are allowed. The end bell must be manufactured in a plastic material. Magnets can be glued but not shimmed. It is allowed to cut in can and magnet to create space for the rear axle. It is allowed to use spring insulation and shunts for the brushes. The motor may be reconditioned using standard parts only. The armature must be labelled as a G-12 armature, e.g. x-12 or b-12. The armature stack has to be intact and of a minimum length of 8,89 mm and 50 turns of AWG 29. The armature diameter must exceed 13,03 mm. The armature shaft must be 2 mm in diameter in its complete length. Max height is 38 mm measured at the rear wing. Minimum height of the front wheel archers is 18 mm. This is measured on a recessed tech block. The front of the body must maintain a vertical edge that is a minimum of 1 mm. The maximum width of the car is 83 mm excluding pins and tape used to mount the body. The clearance measured below the rear axle and between the rear tires must be a minimum of 0,8 mm at the start of a stage in the race, while during the race a minimum of 0,5 mm at all times. The front wheels must have a minimum diameter of 12,7 mm and a minimum width of 0,4 mm. They must be positioned on the chassis in a position so that they are visible in the correct position for the body used. The front wheel must spin on their axle and be mounted in a 90 degree position to the track. They must be black. A lost front wheel during the race is considered a damage and must be repaired before the start of a new stage of the race, i.e. the semi finals or the main. The rear tires must be a minimum of 15 mm in diameter and a maximum of 20,7 mm wide. They need to have a black surface.
